Urgent Care Physician Assistant - Full-Time Position

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to drive informed treatment decisions.
• Diagnose and manage common urgent care presentations, such as respiratory infections, minor injuries, and skin conditions, and formulate individualized treatment plans in concert with supervising physicians.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including laceration repairs and removal of foreign bodies, under the guidance of experienced attending physicians.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive health strategies to empower them in managing their health.
• Document patient encounters thoroughly in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate treatment plans and follow-up care are established.

Our urgent care facility serves a wide-ranging patient base in the Niagara Falls community, encompassing individuals of all ages with varying health concerns. Our patient population includes children and adults seeking immediate care for acute medical issues. You will engage with patients in a compassionate manner, understanding their unique needs and health challenges, and strive to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and a strong ability to work independently while remaining within the parameters of established protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and a collaborative attitude towards patient care.
• A commitment to patient-centered care, embracing diversity, and fostering a healing environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably within an urgent care or emergency department setting.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and familiarity with hospital protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
