Work Environment\n

This role is conducted in a remote setting, complemented by periodic visits to our outpatient office if necessary. Our team consists of dedicated mental health professionals who collaborate to provide integrated care tailored for elderly patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the flexibility to accommodate occasional evening hours as patient needs arise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments, recognizing and adapting to the specific needs of older adults, particularly in consideration of their cognitive and emotional challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to the patient's mental health conditions and encompass their overall health and social environment.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, providing both individual and family therapy to effectively address a spectrum of geriatric psychiatric issues.

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to create a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring seamless communication and coordinated treatment strategies.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, treatment options available, and community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines, contributing to quality patient care and continuity of services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve the geriatric community, addressing various mental health concerns that are often exacerbated by age-related issues. This includes individuals facing cognitive decline, emotional distress, or those adjusting to life changes such as retirement or loss of loved ones. Your work will directly impact and improve the lives of elderly clients, providing them with essential support and uplifting their overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably working with geriatric populations.

• In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in providing therapeutic services for individuals and families in an older adult context.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a patient-centered philosophy.

• A high level of proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools.

• The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on optimal patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
