You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive mental health care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document case histories, ensuring a thorough understanding of each client's needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs of clients, including intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to foster a safe and effective treatment atmosphere.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout the course of treatment, making adjustments to plans as necessary based on their development and feedback.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including doctors and nurses, to create an integrated approach to client well-being.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require additional care, ensuring all aspects of the client’s health are being addressed.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery among clients and implement strategies to help mitigate these challenges.

• Provide support and education to family members or caregivers involved in the client’s treatment, enhancing their capacity to aid in the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele encompasses a wide demographic, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and relationship issues. As a counselor, you’ll be working with clients seeking to improve their mental health for various personal reasons, and your expertise will enable them to navigate their challenges more effectively. You will also have the opportunity to support clients with a history of addiction or those managing co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate attitude that fosters trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a clinical mental health setting and a proven track record of successfully managing diverse cases.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for documenting client interactions and treatment plans.

• Keen understanding of physical and emotional health issues, particularly in the context of addiction disorders.

• Awareness of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and integration of these principles in daily practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, reflecting your experience and qualifications. We also offer a sign-on bonus.
