This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide both individual and group therapy to women and teens, while also engaging in Play Therapy for children who have experienced domestic violence. The chosen candidate will report directly to the Director of Clinical & Counseling Services, actively contributing to the healing journey of our clients.

This position is structured for a remote work setting with occasional in-office responsibilities at our outpatient facility. Key Responsibilities\n

• Maintain a comprehensive caseload by tracking and documenting all assigned counseling cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and progress evaluation.

• Conduct thorough assessments and enroll clients in counseling program services to develop tailored treatment plans that meet their unique needs.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions for both teens and adults, utilizing a client-centered approach and various therapeutic modalities.

• Provide emotional support and crisis intervention, using active listening skills to help clients navigate challenging situations.

• Prepare and maintain confidential treatment records, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Participate actively in clinical supervision meetings to enhance skills and discuss client progress with peers and supervisors.

• Offer practical assistance and community referrals based on the specific needs of clients, ensuring they have access to relevant resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on supporting individuals, particularly women and teens, who have experienced the effects of domestic violence. The LPCC will work closely with clients who may be struggling with emotional and psychological distress stemming from their experiences. Through the use of Play Therapy, this role will also address the unique needs of children in these households, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.

• Must hold an active LPCC license in California.
\n
• Experience in individual and family counseling is required, with a proven capacity to work collaboratively in a therapeutic environment.

• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to empower clients in their healing journeys.

• Availability to work late afternoon hours (3-8 PM) at least two evenings per week is necessary.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for commuting to the outpatient office when required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience or interest in providing Play Therapy services will be highly regarded.

• Candidates with some weekend availability are preferable, as this will enhance our service delivery to clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation package ranges from $70,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education. We also offer performance bonuses in addition to the base salary.
