As part of our integrated care team, you will work alongside psychiatrists, primary care doctors, and other specialists to provide well-rounded care to our patients. Our typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the impact of medical conditions on clients' psychological well-being, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address both psychiatric and medical issues, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) adjusted for patient-specific circumstances.

• Collaborate closely with medical doctors and other healthcare staff to coordinate care and monitor patient progress effectively.

• Provide crisis intervention and support in acute mental health situations, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Educate patients on the relationship between mental and physical health, empowering them to manage their co-occurring conditions effectively.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in team meetings and case conferences to contribute insights and develop comprehensive care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who experience co-occurring mental health and medical conditions, including chronic pain syndromes, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. This patient population often faces unique challenges that require a compassionate and integrated approach to therapy, making your role critical in bridging the gap between mental and physical health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Texas.

• Proven experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with complex medical issues.

• Ability to deliver integrated care, effectively collaborating with medical professionals across disciplines.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of direct experience in mental health counseling is required, experience in an integrated care setting or familiarity with chronic illness management will be considered a significant advantage. Skills related to group facilitation and crisis management are also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Radiance Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
