Position Overview

The Black Rock Mental and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote setting serving schools in Tampa, Florida. In this full-time role, you will leverage your expertise in mental health to provide valuable psychotherapeutic support to students and their families. Work Environment

This position allows you the flexibility of remote work while being embedded in a school environment. The outpatient mental health clinic is equipped with the latest technology, supporting your ability to conduct assessments and deliver therapy seamlessly. You will collaborate with a diverse team of experienced mental health professionals, sharing insights and strategies to enhance the effectiveness of interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify mental health needs, and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing solution-based interventions.
• Implement a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring approaches to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of all patient information.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, enhance treatment outcomes, and contribute to a supportive interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in peer review meetings and case consultations to promote best practices and continuous improvement within the team.
• Educate and empower patients and their families regarding mental health, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in social work and mental health, integrating cutting-edge knowledge into your clinical practice to improve client outcomes.
• Effectively manage a full caseload and ensure treatment goals are consistently met, adhering to the ethical standards and guidelines established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse array of school-aged children and their families, addressing a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Your role will involve developing trusting relationships with clients, providing a safe space where they feel comfortable expressing their concerns and challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
• At least three years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in providing psychotherapy services to diverse populations.
• Proficient knowledge of solution-based psychotherapy interventions and techniques.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients empathetically.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills, with an ability to develop creative solutions to challenging situations.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, actively contributing to collaborative client care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a school setting or with school-aged children preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based trauma-informed care practices.
