Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial interviews, gathering comprehensive histories and documenting client cases from consultation through treatment and closure.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify challenges and needs.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adhering to best practices.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions in an engaging and supportive manner, utilizing therapeutic modalities suited to client needs.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary based on continual assessments.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including physicians and social workers, to create cohesive and effective treatment pathways.
\n
• Proactively identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate challenges.
\n
• Provide education and support to clients’ family members and primary caregivers to assist in managing mental health issues effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse clientele within the Stockton area, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. We emphasize culturally competent care, respecting and utilizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients to provide impactful therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within California.
\n
• Successful completion of either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a clear understanding of therapeutic techniques and client engagement.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience dealing with co-occurring physical and emotional health challenges, including addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.

• In-depth knowledge about the implications of medications prescribed by other health professionals, enhancing integrated care.

• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
