Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use histories, identifying any co-occurring disorders in a sensitive and respectful manner.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based strategies targeting their specific mental health and substance use needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to empower clients with coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and strategies for relapse prevention.

• Engage in regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients' active participation in their recovery journeys.

• Work within an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to deliver integrated, client-centered treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders, guiding them on the importance of continued treatment and compliance.

• Document treatment progress and interventions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to ethical, legal, and organizational guidelines.

• Participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and learning from fellow professionals to stay current on best practices in co-occurring disorder treatment.

You will be working with a diverse client population, including adults who experience co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proven ability to implement evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including but not limited to Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration within the interdisciplinary team and resonate with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in an integrated care setting working with clients facing dual diagnoses.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation guidelines relevant to mental health therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
