Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, documenting the client's journey from initial contact through their treatment course.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through structured clinical assessments, interviews, and observations, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive therapy sessions, promoting a safe space for clients to explore their feelings, challenges, and tools for recovery.
\n
• Monitor the progress of clients throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive treatment strategies for clients.

• Maintain regular communication with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization or additional support beyond the outpatient setting.

• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder the client's recovery while also working with family members or primary caregivers to navigate the challenges they face.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is essential.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is necessary.

• You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, active listening, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings, is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to effectively manage client documentation.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is advantageous.

• Experience working with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, is beneficial.

• Solid understanding of the impact of prescribed medications on mental health outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
