Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations of patients and develop comprehensive treatment plans that address their specific needs and recovery goals.
• Utilize a variety of treatment methods including exercise programs, manual therapy, and functional training to aid in pain relief and mobility enhancement.
• Track patient progress meticulously, documenting treatments and outcomes to inform ongoing therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide patient education on techniques and exercises that can be practiced at home to reinforce therapy outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to ensure holistic patient care and effective rehabilitation strategies.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate patient progress and redefine therapeutic objectives when needed.
• Fit and train patients in the use of assistive devices to promote independence in daily activities.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and seeking out educational resources to enhance clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation center, you will work with a diverse client population. This includes children recovering from sports injuries, adults facing surgery rehabilitation, and elderly patients needing support for chronic conditions. Your practice will focus on individualized, patient-centered care, ensuring that each treatment plan is relevant and responsive to the specific challenges and goals of the patient.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and other digital therapy tools.
• A highly flexible approach to varied patient needs and work hours.
• A passion for rehabilitation and a strong commitment to fostering patient independence and mobility.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of prior clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.

Compensation and Benefits
