Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote and leverages telehealth technology, offering flexibility in your workday. Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed, you will have the opportunity to provide therapy in a format that suits the needs of our elderly patients. Your role will involve using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions and manage patient information efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, considering cognitive changes, social factors, and physical health conditions that are prevalent among older adults.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on addressing geriatric psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related issues.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy sessions conducted through telehealth platforms.

• Engage in close collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care for patients.

• Respond to crisis situations involving elderly patients by applying intervention strategies to stabilize mental health emergencies.

• Maintain up-to-date and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans within the EHR system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on serving the geriatric population, individuals aged 65 and older who may face unique challenges in mental health due to aging, chronic illnesses, or significant life changes. You will address a range of psychiatric conditions, forging therapeutic relationships with elderly clients and their families to support their mental well-being effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure in the state of California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT to practice as a mental health therapist.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in a geriatric mental health setting.

• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based intervention techniques.

• Demonstrated experience delivering therapeutic services to elderly clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
