Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial interviews and ongoing assessments, ensuring accurate documentation from the initial consultation through to discharge.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based practices that cater to unique client needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions focused on therapeutic techniques to promote healing and personal growth.

• Monitor and track patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes and enhance recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate care and follow up on patients admitted to hospitals.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate behaviors that may hinder progress, providing crisis intervention when necessary.

• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate mental and emotional health challenges related to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will be working with at Citrus Psychotherapy Center vary widely in terms of age, background, and presenting issues. This includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. It is essential for candidates to be skilled in adapting therapeutic approaches to resonate with clients from diverse walks of life, ensuring an empathetic and healing environment. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for managing client documentation and treatment plans.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

• In-depth understanding of the effects of mental health medications and collaborative care models.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to handle a diverse client caseload.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with clients suffering from both physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
