Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with patients to create individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and goal setting.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping strategies.

• Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma and enhancing emotional regulation and self-efficacy.

• Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional stabilization.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms and resources to empower their recovery process.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient assessments and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings while engaging in professional development activities to stay informed about current trauma-informed practices.

• Continuously update knowledge by staying current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will support have experienced significant trauma and may present with a variety of complex emotional and psychological needs. Your role will focus on fostering a nurturing therapeutic alliance that encourages patients to delve deeper into their experiences, build resilience, and uncover strengths that aid their recovery. You will work with diverse individuals, allowing for meaningful interactions and personalized treatments that honor each person's journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPC in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Two years of post-licensure experience working specifically in trauma-focused mental health therapy.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and an extensive knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in implementing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of patients.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
\n
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations while advocating for patient care.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.
\n
• A collaborative approach, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of direct experience is required, additional experience in specialized trauma therapies would be advantageous. Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as EMDR and TF-CBT is preferred, as well as a strong background in crisis intervention techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
