Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Highland Rivers Counseling, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gauge patients' personal trauma histories and determine the most effective therapeutic strategies.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's recovery goals, focusing on building resilience and support.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to promote effective healing.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma, express emotions, and learn coping mechanisms.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during instances of trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stability.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping strategies, ensuring they have the necessary resources for recovery.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, using electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engaging in regular case consultations and teams meetings to enhance collaborative care and promote continuous professional development in trauma-informed practices.

• Staying informed on the latest research and methodologies relevant to trauma therapy, ensuring the provision of high-quality therapeutic support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, primarily individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.

• A thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders, resilience-building techniques, and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and respectful approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and a strong understanding of computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a strong background in trauma-focused therapies will be highly regarded. Experience providing group therapy and crisis intervention is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
