Hill Crest Counseling Services is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a full-time remote provider. Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote and utilizes telehealth platforms to connect with patients. Our therapists have flexible scheduling options primarily during standard business hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Although some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs, we prioritize work-life balance for all our employees.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to fully understand each patient’s trauma history and establish a foundation for effective treatment.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that are focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver high-quality therapy.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients explore and process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster resilience.
\n
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support for patients facing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping strategies, enhancing their understanding and abilities to manage their experiences.

• Ensure meticulous and confidential documentation of all patient interactions, in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about advancements in the field of trauma therapy through ongoing education and research initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse individuals who have experienced trauma, including those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients often come from various backgrounds and life experiences, requiring tailored approaches to therapy that resonate with their unique journeys. Building trust and fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship is fundamental to our treatment philosophy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrable experience in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and non-judgment.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and effectively manage crises as they arise.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computing tools.
\n
• A collaborative mindset that contributes effectively to a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with group therapy facilitation and leading support groups for trauma survivors.

• Further training or certification in specialized trauma therapies (e.g., EMDR, DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
