In this full-time remote role, you will provide critical mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, offering vital support and guidance towards healing and resilience.

Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely within a supportive community health clinic setting. You will interact with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to each patient's mental well-being while maintaining autonomy in your practice. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required based on patient needs. The role provides a blend of autonomy and collaborative support, ensuring an optimal environment for both therapist and client.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to ascertain patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate treatment pathways.

• Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans that specifically target trauma recovery while emphasizing the development of coping strategies and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and progress on their healing journeys.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of the patient’s mental health.

• Offer crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma and mental health crises.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation to comply with all legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on the latest research, best practices, and advances in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By understanding their unique challenges and histories, you will play a crucial role in guiding them toward recovery and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, focusing on trauma-informed practices.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and relevant treatment modalities essential for effective therapy.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Able to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• Capacity to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually.
