Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Nordic Behavioral and Psychological Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and crafting individualized treatment plans that target specific recovery goals.

• Implementing a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster a pathway to healing.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, supportive coping mechanisms, and available resources for additional assistance.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on maintaining trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically those who are managing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with a diverse clientele, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs and backgrounds of each individual.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Strong ability to handle sensitive information compassionately and maintain patient confidentiality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance with patients.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly preferred:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, based on your qualifications and experience.
