Work Environment\n

Although our majority of work is conducted from home, occasional in-person meetings and consultations may enhance team cohesiveness and patient care strategies.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to explore patients' histories and establish appropriate treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, developing skills that enhance patients' resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group therapy sessions.

• Lead therapeutic group sessions that provide a supportive space for patients to share experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Collaborate actively with psychiatrists to ensure comprehensive care for each patient and facilitate referrals when necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support when trauma-related emergencies arise, ensuring the safety of patients and their families.
\n
• Educate patients and their loved ones about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding and response to their mental health challenges.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients who have experienced significant trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals suffering from PTSD or dissociative disorders. This role requires an understanding of how trauma affects mental health and the skills to navigate complex emotional responses.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in Texas is essential.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in settings treating trauma-related disorders.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and resilience-building interventions.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, ensuring a stable environment for patients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience using EMDR and TF-CBT therapy methods in clinical practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n
