Position Overview

Rapha Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor with expertise in mood disorders to join our dedicated team. This remote role allows you to provide impactful therapeutic support to individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety-related disorders, and bipolar disorder.

Work Environment

As a remote position, our Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily engage with clients through telehealth platforms. This setup not only allows flexibility and convenience for both therapists and patients but also maximizes accessibility to mental health services. The schedule includes primary working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of rotating evening and weekend sessions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders, ensuring a thorough understanding of each client's unique situation.
• Collaborate with clients in developing personalized treatment plans focused on their individual needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Employ various therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring approaches to suit specific client challenges.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and practical self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of integrated care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and innovations in mood disorder treatment to enhance clinical practice and patient care quality.
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment interventions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to share insights, enhance skills, and remain updated on best practices in mental health.
• Act as a strong advocate for clients, promoting awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our mental health center serves a broad spectrum of individuals grappling with mood disorders. You will directly support clients ranging from adolescents to adults, each experiencing their unique challenges with emotional well-being. Building rapport and understanding their lived experiences are critical to motivating them toward recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specifically in treating mood disorders, is preferred.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatments, particularly CBT and DBT, is essential for success in this position.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with empathy, professionalism, and respect.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies is highly valued, promoting seamless service delivery in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology, allowing for better interdisciplinary collaboration and support for clients in medication management.

Compensation and Benefits
