Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, to address various mental health concerns.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and coordinate family and couples therapy as needed, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation while adhering to ethical and legal standards, ensuring the confidentiality and safety of client information.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care that encompasses all aspects of a client’s well-being.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay informed of advancements in mental health research and practical methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support individuals and families who may otherwise have limited access to mental health services. The clients may present a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your goal will be to provide compassionate support and effective treatment to enhance their quality of life and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

• At least two years of counseling experience is required, preferably within a clinical setting.

• A demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards pertaining to mental health practice.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and other related technologies for client management.

Preferred Experience\n
