Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing our counselors to create their own conducive work environment while adhering to the standards of an outpatient office. Our clinicians utilize telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain optimal client care and streamline therapeutic engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans and strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation while adhering to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients, addressing any co-occurring disorders or issues.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and specialized training to stay current on the latest mental health research and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Positive Steps Consultancy, you will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance misuse. You will play a vital role in transforming lives by providing the necessary support to help clients navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with various clients.
• Strong teamwork skills and the capability to work effectively with healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in EMR software and telehealth technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse treatment is highly preferred.
• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic practices and methodologies is desirable.
