Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly patients, accounting for the unique psychological and social challenges they face.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is the geriatric population, where you will support elderly patients experiencing a variety of mental health disorders. Many of these individuals may be dealing with age-related challenges, including chronic illnesses, social isolation, loss of loved ones, and cognitive decline. You will provide them with the necessary tools and support to navigate these complexities and regain a sense of control and purpose in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in Illinois.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health issues, evidence-based treatment modalities, and best practices in therapeutic settings.

• Experience within geriatric-focused therapy, with a solid foundation in delivering individual and family therapy to older adults.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with diverse experiences in mental health therapy, especially within geriatric psychiatry, are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
