Work Environment

As a home care Physical Therapist at Apex, you will work closely with patients in their own living environments. This allows for a personalized touch in therapy, as you gain insights into their daily routines and challenges. Our full-time roles require onsite work, where you will collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health teams to ensure holistic care. Your flexible schedule can be arranged from Monday to Friday, enabling a work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, followed by the establishment of individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy techniques such as exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Regularly document patient progress, treatment responses, and outcomes in compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress, re-evaluating therapeutic goals to maximize recovery potential.
• Provide guidance on the use of assistive devices or modalities necessary for daily self-care and mobility.
• Engage with patients, families, and caregivers by providing education about therapeutic techniques and care protocols.
• Continuously update your professional knowledge through workshops, seminars, and affiliation with professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse clientele, including children and adults who may be recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or reestablishing mobility after accidents or injuries. Each patient will have unique goals and challenges, providing you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their lives through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.

• Proficiency in using word processing and other computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience
