Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, as our therapists visit patients in their homes across Appomattox and surrounding areas. You will have the autonomy to establish your schedule, typically working Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their homes, identifying their needs and setting therapeutic goals.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate a range of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, hands-on therapy, and the use of assistive devices.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring all treatment plans are adjusted as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on appropriate exercises and daily activities to enhance mobility and quality of life.
• Manage the recommendation and fitting of assistive devices to aid in patient self-care and mobility.
• Stay current with the best practices in physical therapy by participating in educational workshops and professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on working with a diverse patient population, including children and adults who have experienced various injuries, illnesses, or surgical procedures. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia or the ability to obtain one.

• Proficient computer skills for documentation and patient tracking purposes.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining flexibility in various home environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in manual therapy techniques and working with assistive devices is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, reflective of your experience and demonstrated expertise.
