Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence at our Appomattox rehabilitation center, where you will work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, promoting a healthy work-life balance while allowing you to focus on your patients. Our rehabilitation center is well-equipped with modern facilities and resources designed to facilitate effective treatment and rehabilitation for a variety of physical ailments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized therapy services to patients, taking into account their specific therapeutic needs and recovery goals.
• Maintain optimal patient-to-therapist ratios to ensure focused, personalized care in each therapy session.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to determine the most appropriate treatment modalities for mobility and pain relief.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training.
• Educate patients on non-surgical treatment options and promote lifestyle changes that encourage independence and health.
• Regularly assess patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.
• Conduct motivational sessions that boost patient morale and encourage adherence to prescribed therapy regimens.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Feel Life Body Therapy & Home Care, you will primarily work with an outpatient population diverse in their therapeutic needs, including athletes recovering from injuries, elderly patients focusing on mobility enhancement, and individuals seeking rehabilitation after surgeries. The focus is on tailoring treatment techniques to the unique lifestyle and rehabilitation goals of each client.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist License with a clean professional background, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher degree (DPT preferred) recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise program design.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient patient documentation.
• Strong knowledge of current physical therapy methodologies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient therapy setting, particularly with orthopedic or sports medicine rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing patient-centered rehabilitation programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
