As a Nurse Practitioner at Little Bless, you will work onsite at a local school, interacting closely with students, families, and staff. The work environment is dynamic and engaging, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and community involvement. You will typically work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some evenings (until 8:00 p.m.) and occasional weekend events for community outreach. Your average work week will total approximately 40 hours, providing a structured schedule that allows for a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments, physical examinations, and screenings for students and their families to identify medical needs.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and chronic health conditions, ensuring patients receive appropriate preventive care and health education.
• Collaborate with local community organizations to create and implement health education programs tailored to the needs of school-aged children and their families.
• Advocate for patients’ rights, cultural sensitivity, and equitable access to healthcare services by providing informed guidance on available resources.
• Maintain meticulous medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times.
• Provide follow-up care and assist in coordinating referrals to specialists, ensuring a seamless healthcare experience for patients.
• Engage in health fairs and outreach events, delivering screenings and educational information to promote community health awareness.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner certification.
