Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments through interviews and standardized evaluation tools, documenting each client's journey from the first consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Analyze clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health and develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans tailored to diverse needs.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and interpersonal therapy.

• Continuously track client progress against established objectives and modify treatment strategies in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals.

• Facilitate referrals to external resources when necessary, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support including psychiatric evaluations or medication management.

• Engage in case consultations with psychiatrists, case managers, and primary care providers to coordinate holistic care for clients in acute situations.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers, helping them navigate the complexities of their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health care and actively participate in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client focus will encompass individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. Working with a diverse population, you will address not only individual needs but also the unique cultural factors that may influence their mental health. Your empathy and understanding will be crucial in fostering client trust and promoting positive therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Evidence of passing scores in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong expertise in therapeutic methodologies and a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in counseling practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on adult and adolescent populations preferred.

• Experience in addressing complex cases involving comorbid conditions such as physical health ailments, substance abuse, and behavioral disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is highly desirable.

• Ability to analyze and understand the effects of various psychotropic medications to inform treatment planning.
