Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental and emotional health through structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Evaluate clients’ unique needs, issues, and goals, using insights gathered to create actionable and personalized treatment plans.

• Deliver individual therapy sessions to clients, employing therapeutic methods tailored to address a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and personal trauma.

• Facilitate couples therapy sessions, aimed at enhancing communication, conflict resolution, and relationship strengthening.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary in response to changing needs and circumstances.

• Maintain and document comprehensive client records including treatment plans, progress notes, and case histories, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, sharing insights and strategies for holistic client care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress, employing de-escalation techniques and safety assessments as needed.

• Stay informed on the latest best practices in marriage and family therapy, incorporating new techniques into your practice as appropriate.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training, enhancing skills and therapeutic approaches to better serve clients.

• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality in all client interactions, advocating for clients’ rights and empowering them in their treatment journeys.

• Promote self-care practices, both for yourself and your clients, to support resilience and prevent burnout.

• Represent Sequoia Healthcare Center positively in all communications, remaining aligned with our mission and values.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse array of clients, including teens, adults, and couples, each facing unique mental health challenges. Your skills will be essential in offering tailored therapeutic interventions that support their personal growth and emotional well-being. By providing services via telehealth, you will help bridge the gap for clients who may experience barriers to accessing traditional in-person therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an independent and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is required.

• Active licensure through the State Board must be maintained throughout employment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field is mandatory, with advanced degrees preferred.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing both individual and couples therapy, particularly using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Previous telehealth experience is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of various mental health issues and cultural competency in counseling practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, a sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered to successful candidates.
