Position Overview

Tranquil Horizons Medical PA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Physician Assistant to join our team at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Peekskill, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing comprehensive medical care for our patients in collaboration with physicians. You will operate within the full scope of your licensure, ensuring accountability for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of care. This includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and facilitating transitions of care while engaging with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless continuity throughout the care continuum.

Work Environment

This full-time on-site position operates within our surgical center, which features modern facilities designed for optimal patient safety and comfort. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, encompassing 40 hours per week, with a shift starting at 5:00 PM. Our environment is dynamic and patient-centric, prioritizing collaborative practice among medical professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Order, evaluate, and interpret diagnostic tests including blood tests and imaging studies to ensure accurate diagnosis.
• Diagnose and clinically manage a variety of health conditions and illnesses in alignment with family medicine practices.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records and schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating efficient workflow.
• Provide education to patients and their families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and treatment protocols.
• Oversee the overall health management of patients, including follow-ups and transitions between care settings.
• Advocate for preventive care and promote healthy lifestyle practices among patients.
• Stay current with advancements in medical practices and guidelines through ongoing research and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current national certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Proven clinical experience in a family health clinic, surgical, or similar healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in family medicine.
• Strong foundational knowledge of health regulations and standards of patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and family interaction.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time Physician Assistant position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
