Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, identifying challenges and strengths to create tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Implement and monitor individualized treatment strategies, focusing on improving patients' strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise regimens, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention techniques to enhance recovery and health outcomes.
• Participate actively in clinical teaching by guiding physical therapy interns and collaborating with peers on best practices.
• Provide feedback on staff educational needs and assist in preparing and delivering annual in-service presentations.
• Engage in community outreach events to promote the importance of physical therapy and healthy living.
• Occasionally initiate clinical research projects within your area of specialization, supported by management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our facility, you will predominantly work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient demographic ranges from young athletes to older adults seeking to improve their quality of life. You will play a crucial role in restoring their physical function and helping them return to their daily activities or athletic endeavors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy license.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience specializing in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare providers.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable.
• Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting, specifically with orthopedic patients.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care planning.

Compensation and Benefits
