This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a comprehensive support system for therapists and clients alike. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, ensuring the identification of suitable treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and the cultivation of resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through processes of trauma, helping them develop coping strategies, and promoting overall healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated care experience for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and effective approach under pressure.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, fostering empowerment and understanding.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to uphold the integrity of patient care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities with a focus on trauma-informed methodologies and practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve therapeutic efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Therapist will primarily serve individuals coping with the effects of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse, and we are committed to providing culturally competent care tailored to meet their unique needs. This role requires a nuanced understanding of trauma and its psychological impact, aiming to provide comprehensive support for recovery and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in post-licensure mental health counseling, emphasizing trauma-focused care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
