Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for new patients to identify their unique needs and recovery goals, effectively forming a foundation for treatment planning.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy, to create personalized treatment plans addressing individual substance use challenges.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, providing a supportive environment for individuals to share experiences and learn from one another.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring responsiveness to any changes in patient condition.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to deliver comprehensive care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during instances of substance-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate both patients and their families on addiction, recovery modalities, and available community resources to enhance support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults experiencing substance use disorders, along with their families, guiding them through the multifaceted recovery journey. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge regarding substance use disorders and familiarity with recovery-oriented practices.
\n
• Proven experience in individual and group therapy settings, particularly within addiction treatment contexts.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor that fosters a trusting therapeutic alliance.

• Ability to navigate and maintain professional boundaries, ensuring ethical compliance and patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

While one year of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with additional experience in substance use disorder treatment, group facilitation, or crisis intervention will be given preference. Experience with electronic health record systems is also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
