Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and maintain detailed documentation throughout each client’s journey from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients using established clinical assessment methods, ensuring personalized care.
\n
• Design and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and therapy groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote mental wellness.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effective care and positive outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers—to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Communicate with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization to ensure seamless continuity of care.
\n
• Proactively identify behaviors that may impede recovery and employ preventive strategies to mitigate these behaviors.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing the mental health challenges of their loved ones, enhancing the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the State of Illinois.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling in diverse settings.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for case management.
\n
• Deep understanding of the intersection of physical and emotional health, as well as experience in treating addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n
