Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and mental health evaluations to thoroughly understand each client’s background and specific needs.

• Document client interactions meticulously, tracking progress from initial consultation through to the completion of treatment.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying a range of counseling techniques suited to diverse client scenarios.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, collaborating closely with healthcare team members, including psychiatrists and other mental health specialists.

• Assist in managing referrals to additional services and coordinate care for clients requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers in recognizing and managing mental health challenges, enhancing their capability to assist loved ones in recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients present a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse range of individuals and families from various backgrounds, each with unique needs and recovery goals. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion and pass score of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health practices and commitment to lifelong learning to keep up with industry standards.
\n
• Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage patient information effectively.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly convey treatment plans and progress to clients and interdisciplinary team members.
\n
• A compassionate demeanor and exceptional interpersonal skills to nurture meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

\n
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling setting providing direct clinical services.
\n
• Familiarity with the latest best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Experience dealing with clients facing complex issues including co-occurring disorders and trauma.
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacology related to mental health diagnoses, as it relates to patients' treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Presence of Mind Counseling Center offers an attractive compensation package, with an annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience and qualifications. New hires may also receive a sign-on bonus.
