Work Environment\n

This position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely within a telehealth structure, allowing for flexibility in meeting the needs of our clients across various locations. The work schedule generally runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling requirements. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Nexus Mental Healthcare, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment modalities.

• Crafting individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and build resilience among patients.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their experiences, developing coping strategies, and fostering healing.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies and enhancing patient safety.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and equipping them with relevant coping strategies and community resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and those dealing with complex emotional issues stemming from prolonged stressors. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
\n
• A strong knowledge base of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technology for telehealth delivery.

• The ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience, particularly those who have delivered trauma-focused therapies and have expertise in resilience-building approaches. Familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
