Work Environment

This position is located onsite at a school, providing a unique and supportive environment where you will interact with students and their families regularly. Collaborating with teachers, school administrators, and parents allows for innovative health programs tailored to children and adolescents. Your typical work schedule will range from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. Participation in community outreach events and health fairs on weekends may be required, fostering deeper connections within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments, screenings, and examinations for individuals and families, identifying health challenges and advocating for appropriate interventions.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, offering both preventive care and health promotion strategies tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to design and implement effective health education programs that raise awareness about critical health issues.
• Provide culturally sensitive healthcare services, ensuring that patients' rights are respected and advocating for their access to the necessary services.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care, ensuring patients receive seamless medical attention at every stage of their health journey.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Active state nursing license in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in community health or public health settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
