The Mentro Point Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma-related issues. As a critical part of our telehealth team, you will work remotely from the comfort of your own home while providing essential counseling services to clients in Tampa, Florida, and surrounding areas.

Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, utilizing our state-of-the-art telehealth platform to connect with patients. Our telehealth facility offers a user-friendly interface that allows counselors to engage effectively with clients through video sessions, ensuring support is easily accessible. You will work a regular schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial evaluations to assess the mental and emotional needs of patients, tailoring treatment plans to suit individual requirements.

• Engage in empathetic listening during therapy sessions to build rapport and a trusting relationship with clients.

• Diagnose various mental and emotional disorders based on established guidelines and collaborate with patients to develop effective coping strategies.

• Monitor patient progress through regular feedback sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Educate patients on stress management techniques and coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery.

• Collaborate with social service agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate necessary resources and support for clients.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health best practices through continuing education and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on trauma injury patients who have experienced significant psychological distress and require specialized mental health services. You will help clients navigate their emotional responses, assist them in developing resilience, and guide them towards their personal recovery goals. Our approach emphasizes a patient-centered model, ensuring that treatment is aligned with the individual needs and preferences of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

Compensation and Benefits\n
