Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and other medical conditions. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations in a home care environment.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans using a combination of hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities to manage pain and enhance mobility.
• Tracking patient progress meticulously through documentation and adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
• Fitting patients for assistive devices to facilitate self-care and ambulation, ensuring they are well-equipped for daily activities.
• Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers about effective use of assistive devices and therapeutic techniques.
• Maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge by participating in workshops, reading relevant literature, and networking with other professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and degenerative diseases. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• Proficiency in word processing and various computer applications.

Preferred Experience
