Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, gathering pertinent medical histories and performing specialized assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment protocols based on ongoing assessments and patient progress, using techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to optimize recovery.
• Oversee the supervision and training of support staff, ensuring best practices are followed while adhering to state practice acts and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, recognizing when a patient's condition may require referrals or additional consultations.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, interim progress updates, and discharge summaries that reflect the patient's journey.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute actively towards facility-wide initiatives aimed at improving patient access and care outcomes.
• Stay updated with evolving healthcare practices and regulations, fulfilling all required training and maintaining compliance in all aspects of physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus at Trailbound Rehabilitation & Wellness Center is primarily on orthopedic injuries, rehabilitation post-surgery, chronic pain management, and functional mobility restoration for adult patients. You will work with a diverse patient base, including those overcoming sports-related injuries, post-operative orthopedic surgeries, and other musculoskeletal conditions, providing individualized care that addresses their specific needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with a valid license issued by the state of Virginia.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred, demonstrating a track record of effective patient outcomes.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and treatment techniques.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

Trailbound Rehabilitation & Wellness Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
