This full-time position allows for a flexible work environment, primarily remote, while serving our community from the Port Arthur, Texas area. Our LPCs play a crucial role in delivering both telehealth and face-to-face counseling sessions, addressing the mental health needs of diverse patients with a strong emphasis on trauma recovery.

Work Environment\n

This role operates within a community health clinic framework, blending the benefits of remote work with the impact of in-person interactions. Our clinic is open seven days a week, providing a flexible schedule with hours extending from 7 AM to 10 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments, exploring patients' trauma histories to tailor effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building approaches tailored to each patient.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care meets all the needs of the patients.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with immediate strategies for coping.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on the impact of trauma, coping mechanisms, and resources available for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation compliant with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives that emphasize trauma-informed care.
\n
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into practice.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers, you will work primarily with individuals facing trauma-related disorders. Our patients come from varied backgrounds, requiring a personalized approach to therapy that accounts for their unique experiences and needs. Your role is vital in helping them overcome past adversities and achieve lasting recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas is required.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and therapeutic interactions.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills along with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly valued.

• Willingness to work with couples, with training provided to expand your skill set.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently complete documentation within 24 hours.

Compensation and Benefits\n
