Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate clients' healing journeys.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and promote overall mental wellness.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention services and support during trauma-related emergencies, underscoring your role as a pivotal resource for clients in need.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources, empowering them with the knowledge to support their mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly involve supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, ranging from childhood adversities to recent traumatic events. You will be equipped to provide specialized care that addresses a wide spectrum of trauma-related disorders, working with individuals and groups to foster resilience and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LPC licensure in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
