Work Environment\n

This is a telehealth position that offers the flexibility of a remote work setting. Our therapists are equipped with the latest digital tools and platforms that facilitate secure and effective virtual therapy sessions, allowing for seamless communication with clients. You'll work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to address patient needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and tailor treatment strategies accordingly.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans centered around trauma recovery and the establishment of resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences of trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster a supportive healing environment.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and support staff, to ensure integrated and holistic care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention when needed, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, ensuring they have the knowledge to navigate their recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a complete and trustworthy patient record.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development, focusing on trauma-informed methodologies.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to enhance your effectiveness as a provider.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents who have been impacted by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to, abuse, neglect, and natural disasters. Our patient population often struggles with PTSD, anxiety, and complex trauma, which requires a therapist who can provide empathetic support alongside evidence-based treatments. Your work will directly contribute to improving the mental health and overall well-being of individuals striving for recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor towards patients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we welcome candidates who are highly motivated and possess a strong foundation in delivering trauma-focused therapies. Experience in group therapies and an understanding of resilience-building approaches will also be considered advantageous, strengthening your position as a vital member of our team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
