Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, starting with initial consultations and continuing through to treatment completion.
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to address diverse client needs.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Manage referrals, providing clients with resources and follow-up care as needed to support their recovery journey.
• Engage with clients' families, equipping them with strategies to assist their loved ones in overcoming mental health challenges.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will place you at the forefront of patient care, working with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. We prioritize creating a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and fosters growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly tools like AVATAR, to effectively manage patient documentation.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathetic and engaging client interactions.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally within a telehealth setting.
• Proven success in developing treatment plans for a wide range of mental health issues.
• Experience with addiction disorders and co-occurring disorders is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of medication effects and their implications for mental health treatments.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide an attractive benefits package, including:
