Key Responsibilities

• Develop personalized therapy plans for clients through comprehensive evaluations and assessments.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and continuity for clients, sharing insights and strategies during regular case discussions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and client privacy.
• Foster ongoing professional development by participating in workshops, training sessions, and staying updated on the latest in mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include diverse individuals and families facing a wide array of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship issues. Many of our clients may have had limited access to mental health resources prior to joining our practice, making your role essential in providing them with effective support and guidance.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is highly preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competencies.
• A history of continuing education and certification in specialized therapeutic modalities.
