Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses, establishing their unique needs and treatment requirements.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing diverse techniques such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting all treatments and outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation of therapy plans.
• Adapt treatment goals as patient conditions evolve, utilizing evidence-based practices to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, proper use of assistive devices, and effective self-care strategies.
• Engage in professional development through workshops, continuing education, and collaborations with peers to maintain exceptional clinical knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals, each presenting a variety of rehabilitation needs. Your personalized approach will cater to patients recovering from musculoskeletal issues, neurological disorders, post-surgical conditions, and other related diagnoses, fostering an environment of support and healing.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Valid State License to practice Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer literacy for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to exhibit flexibility and adaptability in treatment approaches.
• Strong commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Preferred Experience

While two years of relevant professional experience is preferred, we welcome new graduates who show promise and are eager to learn. Previous experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings and familiarity with electronic health record systems can be advantageous.
