Independence Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient team in Salem, Oregon. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while providing vital mental health services to individuals who have experienced trauma. Work Environment\n

As a part of our outpatient office, you will work within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment, prioritizing patient safety and comfort. The role is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance, with a structured schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs, our supportive team encourages work-life integration to promote employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, enabling immediate assistance and care.
\n
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in trauma-informed care.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring continuity of services for patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences and available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population of clients who have been affected by various forms of trauma. Many of our patients come to us suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and associated disorders, seeking effective therapeutic support to navigate their emotional challenges. This role is centered on understanding and responding to the complexities of trauma, enabling meaningful recovery through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals for client care.

• Experience utilizing trauma-focused therapies such as EMDR or TF-CBT is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
