Mindful Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist (OPT) to join our growing team in Herndon, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for examining, evaluating, and developing individualized treatment plans for patients facing various functional limitations and disabilities. Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our outpatient office facility in Herndon, Virginia. Working hours are structured around a 40-hour week, with some variability required for weekend schedules. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, support staff, and fellow therapists, all dedicated to ensuring that patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions and functional limitations, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and techniques.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, education, and patient engagement strategies.
• Regularly re-evaluate patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies, ensuring that all therapy meets productivity standards and is compliant with applicable regulations.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments administered, and services rendered accurately and timely in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and maintain communication with physicians regarding patient status and treatment modifications.
• Participate in community outreach efforts, quality improvement initiatives, and program development to enhance service delivery and patient engagement.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), aides, and students to foster an environment of learning and professional growth.
• Attend regular staff meetings and engage in continuous education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health record systems and standard office software.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with a background in outpatient care and previous experience with diverse patient populations will find themselves particularly well-suited for this role. Experience in community-focused program development or previous leadership roles in physical therapy practices is also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

Mindful Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
