Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a variety of clinical tasks including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate crisis prevention strategies, risk assessments, and positive behavior support plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely completion and compliance with state and federal requirements.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools to evaluate client needs and guide treatment approaches, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
\n
• Engaging with relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate comprehensive care and resource sharing.
\n
• Participating actively in licensing and accreditation processes, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to quality assurance and improvement.
\n
• Building and nurturing relationships with local, state, federal, and private agencies to promote services and explore new opportunities for collaboration and funding.

• To enhance your professional development, you will attend conferences and workshops while representing the agency at statewide meetings and task forces.

• Promoting the agency’s mission, values, and philosophy throughout all interactions and communications.

• Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director that align with your expertise and support client needs.

We serve a diverse clientele, focusing on individuals with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to those recovering from substance use disorders or dealing with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling is required, indicating a solid foundation in theoretical knowledge and clinical practices.

• An independent LMHC license issued by the state board, demonstrating your ability to practice autonomously and meet clinical standards.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain clinical records and generate comprehensive reports that reflect client progress and treatment efficacy.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, experience in community mental health settings or prior work with diverse populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and experience in crisis intervention will also be viewed positively.
