Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and needs, collaborating with physicians to create individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and procedures designed to promote recovery and restore function.
• Provide direct patient care, including exercise therapy, manual techniques, and educational support, while maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient documentation.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hydrotherapy, to enhance rehabilitation processes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, working alongside other healthcare professionals to address patient needs holistically.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on optimal rehabilitation practices and preventative measures to support sustained recovery.
• Maintain high standards of customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and contribute to the effective functioning of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will predominantly consist of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including postoperative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, allowing you to apply your expertise across various specialties and demographics.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program is required.
• A current state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong competency in word processing and general computer skills.
• A genuine interest in building strong, therapeutic relationships with patients to help them achieve their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable.
• Experience dealing with a variety of patient conditions, particularly in ortho-specific realms.
• A proven track record of providing high-quality patient care and achieving positive patient outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop educational programs to support patients and their families during the recovery process.

Compensation and Benefits
