Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling to individuals, couples, and families, tailored to their unique needs and experiences.

• Integrating Christian counseling principles into therapy for clients who prefer a faith-based foundation, ensuring respect and understanding in all interactions.

• Maintaining accurate client records and timely progress notes within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications\n

To be a successful member of our team, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.

• An independent licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, or the willingness to obtain licensure within 200 hours of completing residency.

• Strong familiarity with biblical principles and counseling techniques.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Commitment to ethical guidelines and confidentiality in providing mental health services.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of trauma counseling experience is required, candidates with the following are preferred:

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.

• Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or a commitment to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hire.
